Labor day hike. I was blessed with a beautiful labor day weekend to do an extended hike. Starting on Friday after work and going thru Monday I hiked from the Mcafee parking area to just north of Newport VA. The hike was around 36 miles and covered such notable attractions as the Audie Murphy monument and the largest oak tree in the south that is approximately eighteen feet around. I had the opportunity to witness to a man and his wife at one of the shelters and answer several questions that they had regarding church and if they should accept a friends invitation to church. As they where leaving the shelter they seemed convinced that accepting the invitation was the right thing to do.
