Wow so much has happen since our last post. We have been contacting and visiting churches to raise support, both financially and spiritually. If you have not heard from us yet please contact us we would love to talk with you and your congregation.
We were blessed to talk with Dublin Baptist Church and have their wonderful congregation ask many question. One reoccurring question is how someone can get involved. We are always happy to have people join us on the trail from hiking the entire trial to short section hikes to just over nights. Or if hiking is not your thing but you have a heart for hikers, we are encouraging groups to become Trail Angels and feed the hikers. They are hungry not only for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but physically hungry as well. They are always happy to listen while filling their bellies on anything as simple as a snack of filtered water, cheep sodas, and candy bars to more elaborate meals of soup, hot dogs, tea and coffee.
Our next stop is Damascus for Trail Days. Matt will be spending time meeting and witnessing at this very large gathering of hikers. It is truly an event that Hikers hate to miss, as they get to talk with one another and see what gear is working as well as tips and tricks to make trail life easier.
I will be representing the White Blaze Mission at Family Days at Eagle Rock Library this same weekend. I will be witnessing and talking about the mission while creating balloon animal for the children. This event is rain or shine from 10 until 4 pm on Saturday. If you are in the area stop by and chat with me.
We are also please to announce that on Mother's Day, Matt was licensed as a Missionary by our home church of Fincastle Baptist. I can not be prouder, what a Mother's Day treat!
Until we meet again God bless,
Susan Clonch
